Meet the Team

Dr. Lisa Beagan is a veterinarian, entrepreneur, and founder of Mobile Pet Vet, a concierge veterinary practice serving the Annapolis area. A graduate of the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University and the University of Maryland Smith School of Business, she is committed to providing thoughtful, personalized care for pets at home while reducing the stress often associated with veterinary visits.

Dr. Beagan began her career in equine medicine before transitioning to small animal care, bringing a unique perspective and a calm, practical approach to each visit. She is also certified in veterinary acupuncture and integrates both Eastern and Western medicine to support each pet’s overall health and well-being.

In addition to her clinical work, she is the founder of Your Vet Direction (YVD), a platform focused on improving veterinary triage and helping pet owners access care more effectively.

Dr. Beagan lives in Annapolis with her two dogs, two cats, and two horses. Outside of work, she enjoys the arts, spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants, spending time on the water, traveling, and playing mahjong and pickleball.

Dr Waltz graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. As a vet student, she earned the HPSP scholarship and was commissioned as a Captain in the US Army upon graduation. She cared for the Navy and Marine Corps Military Working Dogs in sunny San Diego for 3 years before entering the civilian workforce as a Small Animal General Practitioner. Her special interests include wellness, surgery, and dermatology.

Dr Waltz has spent the last decade moving around the country as a Navy spouse, affording her many diverse experiences working in the veterinary field. Along the way, she’s raised 3 kids, 2 dogs, 2 guinea pigs, 1 rabbit, and 2 horses. She’s an avid community volunteer and enjoys running, traveling, and showing horses.

Originally from Mays Landing, New Jersey, Michelle Chen moved to Ellicott City, Maryland, at age 13 and has called it home ever since. She began her undergraduate studies at Rutgers University and completed her bachelor’s degree in animal science at the University of Maryland, College Park. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University. She plans to graduate in 2028.

Michelle’s journey in veterinary medicine began in high school as a veterinary assistant, where she also completed a research project on immunotherapy for T cell lymphoma in dogs. Since then, her passion has only grown—she’s worked in an evolutionary genetics lab, contributed to scientific research, and spent time at the NIH learning in the Pathology Service. Her interests include veterinary pathology, emergency medicine, and the One Health initiative, which connects human, animal, and environmental health.

Michelle enjoys hiking, cooking new recipes, and getting lost in a good book.

Nicole’s all about the fast-paced world of furry friends and their humans. Connecting with people through their pets? From giving a helping paw to the ones who need us most to seeing those happy, healthy tails wag – it’s all in a day’s work! She’s also quickly added IT guru to her specialties at Mobile Pet Vet!

When she’s not at the clinic, you can catch her swinging for the fences on the coed softball field, exploring nature’s wonders on hiking trails, or soaking up some sun and surf at the beach. Oh, and did we mention her furry family? Sophie the border collie, Dalton the gentle giant, and Humphrey the cool cat – they’re her kids!

Kim likes to joke that she’s been “sentenced to a lifetime in veterinary medicine,” but her dedication to animal care is anything but accidental. As our unofficial cat whisperer, she has a remarkable ability to connect with even the most opinionated feline patients, helping them feel safe and at ease.

As a veterinary assistant, Kim is passionate about caring for animals when they need it most, whether they’re sick, injured, or simply in need of extra attention. She brings compassion, experience, and just the right amount of humor to every visit.

When she’s not with us, Kim also works at a local emergency veterinary hospital, takes care of a special needs child, and cares for pets through pet sitting – because for her, caring isn’t just a job, it’s how she’s wired. While most people would find that pace overwhelming, Kim somehow makes it look effortless.

Kim is a proud mom to her son and her feline family, and she treats every patient as if they were her own.

Emerson is a veterinary assistant currently pursuing her veterinary technician degree, building her clinical skills through hands-on experience and a strong commitment to learning. She approaches patient care with thoughtfulness and attention to detail, helping ensure each pet is handled with calm, consistent care. Known for being the quiet, steady presence on the truck, Emerson is always willing to
step in wherever she’s needed, supporting both her team and her patients with reliability and professionalism.

Outside of work, Emerson enjoys traveling and exploring new places, and considers herself a bit of a foodie. At home, she spends time with her corgi, Kevin, who keeps life fun and active.

Allison is the caring voice on the other end of the phone, helping guide clients through their pets’ care with compassion, clarity, and calm. As a remote CSR based in Houston, Texas, she brings over 5 years of experience in mobile veterinary care and a strong ability to solve problems in real time.

She is passionate about bridging the gap between clinic visits and at-home care, ensuring that clients feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way. Allison values education, transparency, and open communication, and she takes pride in making the veterinary experience as seamless as possible for both pets and their owners.

Outside of work, Allison enjoys going to the movies, crocheting, playing video games, and attending concerts. She is also a devoted pet parent to two cats – Jasper, who always has something to say, and Luna, her constant companion.
